Caddy James sired by Rambler Jessies Gold. She was owned and shown by Len and Norma Whitley. Caddy is a multiple campdraft winner, sired by the champion sire Mr Jessie James. Caddy James was a highly successful campdraft and stockman’s challenge mare who at the time was known to be unbeaten when she was in her prime. On her Dams line holds the one of the best sires in the country, Champion Campdrafter Elliotts Creek Cadet. This Mr Jessie James and Elliott Creek Cadet has been a proven performance cross, all have gone on and excelled in cow horse events.
When Caddy James was a young foal she staked herself which resulted in her pinchering her lung. Len stitched her up with her own mother’s tail and she then went on to being a very successful Champion. Norma Whitley ( also the breeder of Marnies Destiny, Marnies Ace, Rambler Marnies Command) has been breeding horses for over 40 years and believes the Caddy James line of horses are the best she has bred.
Rambler KD Acres is a very honest horse with a big heart like is mother. He is an outstanding horse with a beautiful nature, lovely movement and is a real big stopping horse. He has a bad injury to is offside fetlock from his mother kicking him when he was a foal at Norma Whitley’s. Even though KD has this bad injury it has never stopped him in any sport. He is now retired because of his fetlock and he is breeding foals as good as and better than himself.
Rambler KD Acres progeny are now speaking for themselves. Stockhaven Rainy Acres winning Chinchilla ASH Futurity also the Kilkivan Futurity.Rainy Acres was the 2008 Runner up ASH 2yo of year.
She has now gone on to break her Maiden Status Campdafting at Warwick, ridden by David Manchon. In 2012 Rainy Acres competed at the Brisbane Ekka and won and placed led and ridden (see more details on .... page). Beljay Emerald Acres, Winner of yearling Futurities 2013. Homecreek Finesse, Place getter led and ridden ASH nationals. Cool Acres Multiple Challenge and Campdraft winner and place getter. Foolish Acres AQHA Register of Merit award AQHA, Multiple winner in Western Pleasure, English and Led.
